Kirkwood will turn all lifts on Saturday, including the Backside and Timber Creek, making Kirkwood the only major resort in Tahoe that is 100% open, with great conditions from top to bottom and 2,300 acres of diverse terrain for all abilities. A solid snow pack and consistently cold temperatures have contributed to Kirkwood’s extraordinary surface condition as well as its mid-winter snow quality.

All services will be available at the Village Plaza and Timber Creek with dining options at Monte Wolfe’s Coffeehouse and Deli, Bub’s Sports Bar & Grill, the Village Plaza BBQ and the historic Kirkwood Inn. Kirkwood Sports, Timber Creek Sports and the General Store are open for retail operations. Adult and Children’s Ski & Board School will be open at Timber Creek; the Expedition HQ will be open on the Plaza for private guiding services and all mountain camps and clinics.

Terrain Parks...
The DC Stomping Grounds (Chair 5) & DC Playground (Chair 7) terrain parks will be open for the weekend, with plenty of rails, boxes and high flying hits for freestyle skiers and riders.

For the most up to date, accurate report on road and snow conditions, weather, lift operations, please call the toll free snow phone at 1-877-KIRKWOOD.

Cross Country and Snowshoe Center

50k of Groomed Track... Kirkwood Cross Country Ski & Snowshoe Center is open with 50 kilometers of groomed track with skating and snowshoe lanes to the top of the trail system, offering the most terrain of any Cross Country Center in the High Sierra.
