Alas dear sliders, it's the last regular SOTC newsletter of the
season. Many of the resorts will remain open at least through this
weekend, and most are hosting (cheap) customer appreciation days,
season pass specials, parties, music and more!
We've got the skinny on closing events, for our truly hardcore
sliders. Why head up this weekend? Well, dear sliders, 6-9 inches
of new snow has fallen since yesterday, looks like more on the way
for Saturday.

Come bid farewell and ski/ride on the final day of the 06-07 season
at Sierra Resort for only $20.00!
All of the proceeds raised from the day's lift ticket sales will
be donated to sponsor local sports teams including South Lake Tahoe
High School's baseball, softball, basketball and football teams,

*Northstar-at-Tahoe
9" inches of new snow for closing weekend at Northstar. They'll
close on Sunday, April 15th. You can still get $44.00 shop tickets
at participating ski shops, check the website for details. Northstar

Northstar-at-Tahoe and Sierra-at-Tahoe Double Whammy Pass
2007-08 Double Whammy Passes are now on sale! With the only dual
mountain pass that lets you ski both Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort and
Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort, for as little as $379, in just 6 visits
you're carving over 4,000 feet of vertical drop for FREE. And kids
ski both mountains for just $99. But Hurry, prices increase after
April 30, 2007.

*Kirkwood
NEW SNOW - RESORT STAYS OPEN TIL 29th! 6 - 8 inches fell Wednesday
and Thursday! More snow is predicted into next week. Kirkwood
operators announced today that the resort will offer top-to-bottom
skiing and riding through closing date of April 29.
Kirkwood will operate the front side of the mountain through the
end of the season. And, the backside area with chairlifts 2, 3 and
4, along with Timber Creek chairlifts 7 and 9 will be open through
Sunday, April 15.
Starting April 15, Kirkwood will offer a special spring ticket deal
- ski/ride two days for the price of one. Also, starting Monday,
April 16, lift tickets will be reduced to $59 for a full adult lift
ticket. All lift tickets purchased on or after April 15, will be
valid for two days of skiing or riding.
*Sugar Bowl
The resort will be calling it a "wrap" for it's 68th season on
Sunday, April 22nd. Their last weekend of operation Sugar Bowl
will have live music on the deck Saturday and Sunday and thank its
friends and family with tons of prize give-a-ways and a variety of
drink specials to toast the season. Members of Sugar Bowl's CORE
Mtn Club will continue to save big with $30 lift tickets.
CORE Mtn Club members can also get friends and family tickets for only
$30 as well, when they present their pass at the ticket window!
The resort is also inviting pass holders from other resorts to
experience the Sugar Bowl difference and will extend discounted $30
tickets when you show your seasons pass from any other resort! So
break out the sun screen and the bikini's and tell your friend tell
your family to head to Sugar Bowl for one sweet blow-out of a season
end party.
Sugar Bowl will be running its current daily operations until Sunday,
April 15th and will suspend mid-week operations from April 16-20th
Sunday, April 22nd.
*Squaw Valley USA
This spring Squaw Valley USA is offering a Spring Pass that is good
for the remainder of the 2006/2007 season. Skiers and riders can
take on North America's Spring Skiing Capital for only $129 and
better yet, that payment counts toward the purchase of a full or
midweek 2007/2008 season pass. The $129 Spring Pass is valid 7
days a week, and goes on sale this Sunday, April 8 at Squaw Valley's
Special Tickets office. For the most up-to-date resort conditions,

*Alpine Meadows
Close Date: TBD Alpine Meadows will host its annual Community Benefit
Day Sunday, April 15. The adult lift ticket price is set for just
$20. Lift ticket proceeds from Alpine's Community Benefit Day will
be donated to area non-profit organizations in North Lake Tahoe and
Truckee. Recipients have historically been those that focus
particularly on kids' educational and extracurricular enhancement
programs, as well as environmental enhancement programs.
Tons of events next weekend! Live music Saturday and Sunday,
Snow/Golf, event and more.
*Boreal
Last day is Sunday, April 15. Superpipe open right through the
last day. Last chance to get videos in for Video contest.

*Bear Valley
Reggae On the Mountain - April 14th: Get ready for the most enthralling
event of the year! This annual celebration of Sierra snow and
California sun is a Bear Valley favorite. The day kicks off with
pond skimming exhibition and contest at 1pm. Sign up the morning
of the competition at the Special Events Shack or in the Main Office.
Under 18 needs parent release. Wild & Crazy Costumes are encouraged
(let's keep 'em PG13!) and get ready for a big splash! Live Reggae
tunes from Baldread and the Raggamuffin Crew will get you groovin'
on the Sun Deck as the Micro Brew Festival kicks into high gear at
2pm. The Brew Fest benefits Sierra HOPE, a local health resources
organization. A $15 donation includes a commemorative pint glass
and eight tastes.
Customer Appreciation Day - April 15th: Enjoy a 2 for 1 lift ticket
when purchased at a Bear Valley ticket window. Buy one full-priced
ticket and receive a second ticket of equal or lesser value- FREE!
Both guests must be present at Ticket Window at time of purchase
to receive Free Ticket. Tickets are valid for April 15th, 2007

Heavenly is thanking their loyal 2006/07 passholders by offering
the Adult Heavenly Pass at a special renewal rollback price of $329*
... $20 less than the fall 06/07 price. This special rollback
price is their way of thanking you for your loyal support!
Season pass holders can buy buddy tickets for $25 instead of $40,
good through the end of the season. College group tickets are
normally $44 and are available to groups of 20 or more. Heavenly
is dropping the group requirement to five and lowering the price
to $35!
