Mountain Resort this holiday season.

Grizzly Update - Another Big Storm Needed

Late December storms kept fresh snow on the trees at the higher elevations for most of the holiday period, and made for a good start to the ski/snowboard season. Cool temperatures this week, current ample snow pack (70-75 inches) and nightly grooming efforts are providing for superb conditions on the upper mountain and backside. However, for those of us dreaming of powder days in the lower mountain (image at right may stir up emotions?) and making fresh tracks down Grizzly, the waiting game is on... Following a cease in storms about a week ago, Bear Valley Ski Patrol sent teams into the the lower mountain areas to assess the snow conditions. The report? Both Snow Valley and Grizzly Bowl are still in need of another one to two feet of snow to fully cover the terrain at the Grizz Bottom lift loading area. One more big storm cycle dumping snow near the 6,000 foot elevation level will enable us to open the lower mountain and sustain a high quality product. Stay tuned, do your snow dance, burn some boards... and bring on the SNOW!

* Special Notice to Season Pass Holders - We're offering a friendly reminder to always remember your season pass when planning to access the mountain. If you do forget or leave your pass at home, please visit our main office for $5 daily replacement ticket.
