TODAY ON THE MOUNTAIN

Snowing now. with 4 inches since closing yesterday, received a total of 11 inches of snow from this storm so far. Sunday's storm is predicted to be a colder & stronger system, keep em coming!

NSAA Safety Week message of the day: Observe posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.

Want a tip on where to ride? Ask a patroller, they'll love to give you the inside track on where the gettin' is good. Also, if you need any questions answered while around the lodge, seek out any staff member with a Bear Valley Mtn logo on their jacket and they'll be happy to help out. We're currently at an average 35" base so don't let the lack of recent snowfall turn you away. Locals and visitors alike are having super fun and finding some great runs on and off the groomed areas. And like we always do.....Send your best to the Snow Gods for more fresh turns! Bear Valley Ski Patrol.

Bear Valley Cross-Country center is open with 31 trails for a total of 46 kilometers available, 27 trails with groomed track and skating lanes and 4 snowshoe only trails. The Meadow Cafe and  Sledding Hill are open for business daily.

Snow levels will drop slilghtly tonight, with 2 to 3 inches of snow expected, received a total of 4 inches of snow from this storm so far.

Want a tip on where to ride? Ask a patroller, they'd love to give you the inside track on where the gettin' is good. Also, if you need any questions answered while around the lodge, seek out any staff member with a Bear Valley Mtn logo on their jacket and they'll be happy to help out. Its is snowing again and we have raised the"Powder Alert" banner.  Forecasts look good for a significant snowfall event over the next couple of days and into early next week.  We are especially excited to announce that we are running the "Bear Tracker Snowcat Tour" this Sunday, January 25th!. National Safety Awareness Week

Bear Valley Ski Patrol is currently offering Avalanche Beacon training, and will culminate in a beacon finding contest on Sat. January 24th. Our mountain operations are hard at work building sculptures highlighting the Skier's Responsibility Code and you'll get to vote for your favorite scene! Stop by our Patrol booth located at the day lodge from 11a-4p on Saturday (Jan. 24th) to cast your vote. On Saturday you will also have the opportunity to win some sweet BV swag by joining the fun with our Scavenger Hunt. Just swing by the Patrol booth for details!!

Looks as though we'll see a little rain/snow mid week thru Monday and possibly thru Wednesday. Snow levels will remain High this morning then drop down to around 6500'. Small accumulations but hey, IT'S SNOW!! If you need to, ask a patroller and they'll give you a heads up on where it's good to Ski/Ride. Also, if you need any questions answered while around the lodge, see the great folks wearing the orange jackets with the Bear Valley Mtn logo and they'll be happy to help out. We're currently at an average 32" base so don't let the lack of recent snowfall turn you away. Locals and visitors alike are having super fun and finding some great runs on and off the groomed areas.
