Half Pipe Remains Closed for the Season
Bear Valley Mt Resort regrets to announce that one of its special terrain areas, the half pipe, located on the on the trail map, brochure and in the United States Forest Service Operating Plan will not be open this year. BVMR currently lacks the equipment and resources to provide the quality half pipe experience that we feel our guests have come to rely on us to provide.  Future communication materials will be updated accordingly and we will be sure to keep you informed of any updates.  I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Another Storm for the Weekend

Kirkwood's snow forecasters are predicting a strong snow storm Thursday, promising to blanket the ski resort with another significant snowfall. After last week's 2-foot storm, Kirkwood is already WIDE OPEN!

CAL BAND at Kirkwood

Join us for CAL BAND Day at Kirkwood. Friday, January 12, 2007. Watch and listen as the University Of California at Berkley Band plays their music. Take a few runs with the band members. Drink specials at Bub's Pub all day.

JETS start 6-8 week programs January 6

Guest photo 12.27.06Junior Expedition Teams (JETS) offer young skier/riders the best opportunity to explore advanced and technical disciplines with a dedicated coach. Kids learn to take on the entire mountain: cornices, chutes, open bowls, trees, hike-to-terrain, and the park and pipe...all 2003 acres of Kirkwood are fair game and they learn the skills to safely navigate all of it.

For upper-intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders only!

SUBARU Master of the Mountain

Hit the slopes with your friends from Subaru. - Demo the newest skies from Nordica and try one of the specialized clinics to polish your skills. Stop at the Subaru test tent on the Village Plaza and register to win some cool prizes!

88 Saves on Sundays & Holidays

Skiing and riding on Sundays and holidays is always fun. - But more and more South Lake Tahoe visitors are discovering Highway 88 is the best way to enjoy the day. Visitors are opting to take Highway 88 and spend the day at Kirkwood, verses braving the traffic and congestion along Highway 50.
