Sliding on the Cheap! Alert! SOTC Heavenly Season Pass Special, Season Skinny, Heavenly Tixs!

Hello, Sliders!

Heavenly is offering SOTC readers a special discount
on their season pass, and for our crew, we've got some giveaway tickets!
Not only that, but we've gathered the best skinny on Heavenly for
the 2007/08 season saving you hours of intense web surfing.

Why do we love Heavenly, you ask?

Simple, dear sliders.  It's a ski and snowboard paradise so big, it
takes up two states:  California and Nevada.  On any holiday, there's enough
terrain that you can ski or ride all day, without having to see one neon-clad
holiday slider sporting the latest 1980's era gear.   Heavenly has something
for everyone, with a seven mile groomer, (the top of the California side,
to bottom of Nevada side) that will leave you so relaxed, you won't even care
that your kids have misplaced that rental gear.   Need to brag around the old
water cooler on Monday morning?   Take a run down Gun Barrel where the bumps
sometime exceed the size of breaking surf at Mavericks.  Just get a pair of
All-Mountain skis?  How about Mott Canyon, with world class tree skiing
where you can cut first tracks all day long.

The $369 Heavenly Pass, Lake Tahoe's best seven-day-per-week,
season-long value, is on sale now. For our Sliding on the Cheap readers
who purchase their pass in November, Heavenly will throw in a $20 voucher*
for any Bay Area Any Mountain store! Just call 1-800-HEAVENLY between
Nov. 13 and Nov. 30 to purchase your pass, tell them you heard about it on
Sliding on the Cheap and the gift certificate is yours, along with:

·  Lake Tahoe's top resort as rated by the readers of SKI and Skiing
·  California's most skiable acreage
·  Lake Tahoe's longest vertical drop
·  Lake Tahoe's highest summit elevation
·  Lake Tahoe's most high-speed lifts
·  The largest snowmaking and grooming capacity on the West Coast
·  The most free days at Vail
·  Four $40 buddy tickets
·  Membership in the Heavenly Passholder Club (exclusive offers,
events and discounts when you provide your email address )
·  The most epic nightlife
·  The best tree skiing on the planet

So call 1-800-HEAVENLY!

* Buy your pass between Nov 13 and Nov 30 and receive an Any Mountain
$20 voucher good on purchases of $200 or more. Further restrictions apply.

*HEAVENLY, THE SKINNY!

*OLYMPIC EXPRESS
The new Olympic Express detachable-quad chairlift provides
high-speed access to Olympic Downhill, three new trails and
Nevada Woods, home to some of the best tree skiing in North America.
When it debuts in early December, Olympic Express will be
3,533 feet long with an 866-foot vertical rise.
That cuts the old 11 minute ride time
to just three-and-a-half minutes!

*GET OFF THE GROOM, SLIDERS!
Heavenly will unveil three new trails off of Olympic Express.
Cloud Nine is an intermediate level groomed trail that is perfect
for wide-open cruising.
The Pines is a groomed, intermediate-level trail that allows
skiers and riders to  cruise around islands of beautiful western white pines.
Bohemian Grove ratchets up the intensity one level.
This advanced, gladed run is steeper, ungroomed and offers a more
natural tree-skiing feel. For the expert skier or rider Nevada Woods is the
all-natural, full-tilt tree skiing that made this area a local legend.

*HEAVENLY OFFERS A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
Also new this winter will be the Heavenly Flyer at Adventure Peak.
This elevated zip line cable ride will take guests on a 50-mile-an-hour thrill
ride from the top of Tamarack Express back to the top of the Gondola,
a vertical drop of 525 feet. At 3,100 feet, the Heavenly Flyer will be the
longest ZipRider in the lower 48 U.S. states.

*THE WEST COAST'S LARGEST SNOWMAKING/GROOMING SYSTEM
Heavenly has continued its commitment to offering Lake Tahoe's finest corduroy
with four new low-emission, state-of-the-art groomers. Additionally, Heavenly has
retrofitted many of its air/water snowmaking guns to be more energy efficient
while also making larger quantities of snow in warmer temperatures.

*SATISFYING SLIDERS APPETITE FOR LIFE
We know that Northern Californians sliders care what they
put in their bodies.
That's why Heavenly has partnered with Coleman Meats and
Horizon Dairy to serve all-natural, hormone-free meats and organic
dairy in all lodges this season.  Heavenly is the only resort in California
to offer this healthy alternative to its guests,  another example of Heavenly's
commitment to the overall guest experience.

YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT MEMBERSHIP!
The Heavenly Passholder Club is another way Heavenly
rewards its loyal guests.  Season passholders who provide their e-mail
address gain exclusive access to  sporting events, concerts and other benefits.
Just this summer, Heavenly's  passholders were treated to a
Giant's game at AT&T Park,  the Celebrity Golf Tournament at Edgewood,
and Beyonce, Fergie and Rascal Flats concerts.
As if paying just $369 for Tahoe's best mountain wasn't enough!

PRESERVING OUR SPECIAL GIFT
Every project undertook this summer was designed to
minimize environmental  impact and maximize water clarity from the
watersheds draining the mountain.  Needless to say, Heavenly
continues to put environmental concerns at the forefront!

We hope you give Heavenly a try this winter, or better yet, buy a pass
and enjoy the best ski and snowboard winter ever!
