*Mike Pechner's SnowCast!
If you are keeping count, and WE are, snow beginning this
afternoon will be the 17th day of snowfall this month in the High
Sierra. February will start off with more snow but it now looks like
the weekend storm will be the last for a while with sunny skies and
epic conditions greeting boarders and skiers all of next week. The
next opportunity for more snow is the following weekend. Resorts
picked up anywhere from 12 to 24" in the last storm with an additional
1o to 20" possible tonight and Friday. The National Weather Service HAS
ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING for the SIERRA for the incoming storm.
Snow should end just in time for the trip up to the mountains tomorrow
night. Snow returns late Saturday through Sunday with additional 1 to 2
feet of new freshies.
