 | | TOP 5 EASY TO ACCESS MOUNTAIN HIKES
1. Heavenly- From the top of the Gondola, enjoy a hike on one of Heavenly's three hiking routes. From easy to more difficult, the trails meander through the high Sierra forest with awesome views of Lake Tahoe along the way. Routes vary from 1.6 miles to just under four miles round-trip. 2. Keystone- Keystone's Mountain Trek: The Summit Express chairlift will take you to the top of Dercum Mountain for a guided walking tour to learn about local animals, wildflowers, plants & history. The tour is FREE to guests of Keystone with the Adventure Passport. 3. Vail- Wander through fields of brilliant wild flowers, native wildlife and breathtaking views by taking a gondola ride up to the top of Vail Mountain and get a glimpse of our own "14-er", the Mount of the Holy Cross, or start your hike from one of many trails. 4. Beaver Creek- Spruce Saddle Loop, a beginner/intermediate trail, is great for families and nature students and is filled with interactive, 5-senses features over gentle sloping terrain. 5. Breckenridge- Mohawk Lakes is gorgeous in the summer. Hike to 3 lakes, and a waterfall with wildflowers all along the way. This hike is perfect for the beginner or the expert hiker because you have the choice of which lake to hike for your ability. Bring your dogs and let them jump in too!
