| Monday January 19, 2009 6:40am | | TODAY ON THE MOUNTAIN | | Hey Good People! MLK weekend is here and skiing is awesome! The grooming has been great so give the Cat Crew some Kudos. If you need to, ask a patroler and they'll give you a heads up on where it's good to Ski/Ride. Saturday the 17th was alot of fun with the after hours Fireworks display and the Rockin' band in the Monte Wolfe Saloon. We're currently at an average 33" base so don't let the lack of recent snowfall turn you away. Locals and visitors alike are having super fun and finding some great runs on and off the groomed areas. Remember! Don't forget your sunscreen!! And like we always do.....Send your best to the snow Gods for more fresh turns! Bear Valley Ski Patrol . Forecast calling for chance of snow late in the week Bear Valley Cross-Country center is open with 31 trails for a total of 46 kilometers available, 27 trails with groomed track and skating lanes and 4 snowshoe only trails. The Meadow Cafe and Sledding Hill are open for business daily.
