Happy New Year!

Alpine Meadows has 28–38 inches of new snow from the storms that rolled through the Sierra Christmas evening through Wedensday. The fresh blanket of snow moved Alpine’s base conditions to 40 inches at the base area, and 80 inches at mid-mountain and above. If you haven’t seen the January Photo Annual edition of Snowboarder Magazine, check out Alpine on the cover! There is a reason photographers choose Alpine to shoot – the scenery, the terrain and the laid back atmosphere all wrapped up in a nice 2,400 acre span of mountain with nothing but great views of Lake Tahoe, run after run of groomers, chutes, bowls and the area’s tastiest brownies at the Alpine Bakery!

Spend New Year’s weekend at Alpine Meadows, where the skiing and boarding is plentiful. Watch our website for updates on the opening of the new Sherwood Express and the Lakeview Chair!

The Snowbomb.com / Alpine Meadows Sick & Twisted Big Air competition is Sunday, January 8. Competition is open to competitors of all ages, and includes a cash and prize purse of $5,000. Helmets are required and parents signature on the release form is required for minors. Register for the event and your chance at the cash and prizes in the lodge starting at 8:30am. A special thanks to our sponsor Toyota Scion, there will be two tricked out Scions with terrain park rails welded on top on display at the event and live music in the main lodge by the popular band BLVD.
