16 Feet of Snow in 16 Days

Miraculous March... Over 16 FEET of new snow has fallen in March alone, bringing the season to date total up to 600 inches or 50 feet of snow. The resort has base depths ranging from 174-283 inches, offering a unique winter wonderland landscape for skiers and riders of abilities. From miles of cornice and the steepest groomed terrain in Lake Tahoe to one of the best beginner areas in North America (USA TODAY), Kirkwood has the goods that skiers and riders are seeking.

Three terrain provide freestyle fun for all levels from the gentle rollers and banked turns in AdventureLand (Chair 9), to the low to the snow rails, fun boxes and new half-pipe in the DC Playground (Chair 7) to a full blown rail yard and a series of high flying hits in the DC Stomping Grounds (Chair 5), Kirkwood serves up parks that rival its natural freestyle terrain.
