Learn fly-fishing techniques that will enhance the novice and intermediate fisherman’s understanding and enjoyment of this fast-growing sport. In our one day clinic, participants will spend time in the classroom and on water learning proper casting, knots, reading water and much more. Clinics will be held from 9am to 4:30pm; meet at Summer HQ in Red Cliffs at 8:45am. Cost is $125/person, $100/KCA members; includes all necessary equipment. Minimum of 3 participants, maximum of 10. All participants must own valid CA fishing license and supply own lunch. ROCK CLIMBING CLINICS July 22, August 5 & 19... Learn the ropes before moving to the rocks in this half day rock climbing clinic. Participants will learn climbing techniques to manage different types of climbs; Kirkwood’s climbing wall and nearby climbing areas will be utilized. Clinics will be held from noon to 4pm; meet at Summer HQ in Red Cliffs at 11:45am. Cost is $55/person, $45/KCA members; includes all necessary equipment (min. 2 participants, max 6). MOUNTAIN BIKE CLINICS July 29, August 12 & 26... Half day clinics focus on equipment issues, efficiency, achieving a balanced neutral relaxed body position over rough terrain, and methods of training. Clinics held from 9am to 1pm; meet at Summer HQ in the Red Cliffs Lodge at 8:45am. Cost is $50/person, $40/KCA members; includes instruction and lift ticket. Private Children’s Safety & Skills Building Clinics available for individual or group. Mountain bike rental available, reservations recommended. ROPES CHALLENGE/ZIP LINE Every Friday through Sunday... We invite you to experience the new Kirkwood Challenge Course—whether it’s a fun outing for your family or a customized team building activity, this activity is sure to please. Our Challenge Course has both high and low course elements, along with a Zip Line; and can accommodate any age, group size, or ability level.
