BIG UPCOMING EVENTS Birds of Prey Men’s World Cup at Beaver Creek November 28 - December 3, 2006 New to the USA and Beaver Creek- the Super Combined, one run of Downhill and one run of Slalom on the same day tests the talents of Americans Ted Ligety, 2006 Olympic Gold Medalist and 2005 World Champion Bode Miller. Additional events include the legendary Birds of Prey Downhill, Giant Slalom and Slalom. All races, post-race parties, concerts, autograph signings and more are free and open to the public. 36 Hours of Keystone December 1-2, 2006 Lifts turn and legs burn as 36 hours of non-stop skiing and riding begins at 9am on Friday, December 1 and continues through 9pm, Saturday, December 2, 2006. The celebration is open to the public and registered teams can compete for a chance to win $3,600 or $1,200. NEW! Vail Snow Daze December 4-17, 2006 This 2-week early season party includes concerts from national headlining bands including the Counting Crows on 12/9 and Mix Master Mike on 12/16, Dummy Gelunde Championships and other crazy competitions, bar parties, snowman building contests, dining deals and more! Look for 2006 Halfpipe Olympic Gold Medalist Hannah Teter to go for a three-peat at Breckenridge after winning there the last two consecutive years. The event will also include a night-time exhibition, in-town under the lights! Tahoe Adventure Film Festival December 15-16, 2006 Tahoe overflows with adventure filmmakers, athletes, and action sports enthusiasts to celebrate adventure.
