Sliding on the Cheap! Mike Pechner SnowCast, Sac Ski Show, Heavenly Pass Special, Diamond Peak $109 Pass, Freebies, More!

Hello Sliders!

Warm, mild air in the High Sierra has slowed snowmaking this week,
which means resorts that had planned on opening this weekend are
day to day.  Mike Pechner, our weather guru, says to expect cold
temperatures and snow next week.  The computers can't get a feel
for the jet stream's movement, so it could be a few inches of snow,
or much more.  Regardless, it's gonna be cold, meaning that every
resort with a snowgun and a compressor will be blowing snow.

*The Skinny
Plenty, as usual.  The Sacramento Ski Show is this weekend.  This
is one of the best shows of the year, even for Bay Area skiers and
riders.  Most resorts will be on hand, as usual.  More info below.
Check Mike Pechner's SnowCast, Diamond Peak has a $109 beginner
season Pass, (what!) that's right.  Mention SOTC when purchasing a
Heavenly Pass, you get a $20 Gift Certificate valid at Any Mountain!
Details, below dear sliders.

*Mike Pechner SnowCast!
Change in the weather inbound for mid next week.  Cold air will
replace the mild air in the High Sierra, making for excellent
snowmaking conditions, and a storm system will bring in natural snow.
Snow expected Tuesday-Thursday.  Mike can't forecast the amount of
snow, given the fluctuating jet stream.  What's for sure?  Many
resorts will be open on or before Thanksgiving with a combination of manmade
and natural snow.  Dress warm!  Temperatures could be in the teens.

Don't Miss!
