Hello Sliders! 

We're just heading into the best of the ski season, at least for
Northern California sliders.  Why, you ask?  In between monster
Pacific storms that have dumped three and four feet of fresh snow every
couple of weeks, we've got mild temperatures, sunny skies and lots
more daylight.  That means sunny slopes right up until 4:30, and
for night skiers, you're getting a couple hours of sun before
having to put on that parka.

Spring is celebrated in Tahoe, beginning with Snowfest,
kicking off beginning February 29th.  Spring also brings live music
to resorts like Alpine Meadows, when Saturday afternoons become
party central, right on the deck!

It will be sunny and cooler today and Friday with increasing high clouds. 
A weak weather system moves in tomorrow night and Saturday
morning with a few snow showers above 6000 ft. 
Highs will be in the 30's on Saturday
followed by a seasonably cold Sunday morning. Sunny skies and a
warming trend is expected throught at least the middle of next week. 
Next opportunity for colder weather and snow showers is next Thursday. 
Otherwise packed powder conditions continue throughout the Sierra.
