 | Cold temperatures and 3 feet of fresh powder today Boreal has received over 6–8 feet of snow since December 19th, which means we’ve been busy expanding our terrain parks. The new technical park off the Lost Dutchman Chair is gaining great reviews from top riders around Lake Tahoe. With our unique staircase feature launched at the October Jibassic Park Pro Rail Jam, Boreal will be the place to ride as that feature will be out in Boreal’s park starting Monday, January 16th. Remember, Boreal’s parks come in all shapes and sizes, catering to the very first time park rider with rollers and ride on boxes, more progressive features including a pyramid box, tower wall ride, c-boxes and rails, and finally a technical park with advanced jumps and rail features. If you want to learn to ride parks, we offer classes regularly for just $28. Boreal is the place to be on Friday nights. The Expression Session Jam series rocked last Friday night with over 70 competitors, crowning the winner with brand new Bonfire outerwear. Also contestants walked home with a fresh pair of Rossignol Scratch Skis, and a new Academy Snowboard. Many more prizes were given out, thanks to our sponsors, and everyone walked away ready for the next Friday Night comp. The next Friday night was the skaters chance to show-off in Tahoe’s only indoor skate bowl. With an easy-going jam format, the riders had a chance to vote for their favorite ripper and win prizes for tricks as they went down. Trilogy Arts and the Riders Union supplied skate decks and helmets for the overall winners. Check our calendar for upcoming snow and skate competitions. Win a chance to compete against the top pros who will be competing at Park City Mountain Resorts World Superpipe Championship March 11–12. Boreal’s World Superpipe Championship Qualifier is set for February 11th, with over $5,250 in cash prizes and a chance to earn an invitation to Park City’s invitational pro event.
