Heavenly Turns 50 - Come Join the Party!

THE MOUNTAIN

December 14, 2005

Hello Tim!
It's been 50 years since Chris and Dottie Kuraisa purchased two rope-tows and the Bijou Ski Run for $5,700 to open "Heavenly Valley." We've come a long way in the last half century, and we're ready to celebrate in style. Join us December 15-17 for an epic birthday bash including rail jams, an explosive fireworks display, live music and DJs, the Warren Miller Experience, parties both day and night, and plenty more surprises! The only things "Over the Hill" about Heavenly these days are the runs - all 91 to be exact. So grab your skis or board, and get ready to party like it's 1955! For more information, click here.

Conditions Overview

Heavenly is leading the way in Tahoe with the most open terrain, the most lifts, the most vertical and the best surface conditions. With Tahoe's highest elevation and the West Coast's largest snowmaking system, we're giving the mountain a fresh coat of snow and adding to our three to four foot base nightly, which enables us to open even more terrain. We also have two terrain parks open on the California side.
