K-Factor In Full Effect

It's Soooo Much Better Here... We all love Kirkwood for the snow. No matter what the conditions are around the lake, you can always count on Kirkwood to have the best snow in Tahoe. And when it really counts, that distinction is critical. The difference between Kirkwood and everywhere else right now is massive. Kirkwood is 100% free range – Chair 10, the Backside, Timber Creek – it’s all open and the options are limitless. It’s classic Kirkwood and it looks just like you’d expect… white, pristine and covered from top to bottom. The way the Snow Gods intended it to be.

The underfoot experience is also superlative. Good, cold, squeaky clean fun. The base isn’t all that deep by Kirkwood standards (3-4 feet), but surface is great and it's wall to wall coverage. In fact, there’s a good argument to be made that the terrain is the most fun right now. There's less snow now than later in the year, so there are more nooks and crannies to explore.

We have terrain parks for all levels of the freestyle set - gentle rollers and banked turns in Adventureland (Chair 9), low to the snow rails and fun boxes in the DC Playground (Chair 7), and a full blown rail yard and a series of high flying hits in the DC Stomping Grounds (Chair 5).

We all love to talk about the K Factor. No matter how we define it, it all comes down to consistency. Kirkwood consistently offers the best on-mountain experience in the region. Always has, always will. Count on it.
