Unrivaled Conditions

This is it... If you're looking to spend the weekend skiing or riding, look no further than Kirkwood. Forget what you've heard about a lack of snow in Tahoe - this is Kirkwood and it's a world apart from the rest. Cold, chalky, mid-winter snow covers the mountain top to bottom; and although the base isn't all that deep by Kirkwood standards (3-4 feet), the surface is great and it's wall to wall coverage. See it for yourself - Check out the Video Footage, shot today!

Parks and Stuff... All three terrain parks are open with features for all levels of the freestyle set - gentle rollers and banked turns in AdventureLand (Chair 9), low to the snow rails and fun boxes in the DC Playground (Chair 7), and a full blown rail yard and a series of high flying hits in the DC Stomping Grounds (Chair 5). There is a DC Snowboard Rail Jam on Saturday to celebrate the grand opening of the Stomping Grounds terrain park.

On-Mountain Lodging... Some Lodging is still available for the holidays. Please call Kirkwood Vacations at 1-800-967-7500 for more information.

DC Beanie Exchange on Saturday... Stop by the DC booth in the Village and trade in your old lid for a brand new DC beanie; all old beanies will be donated to Kid's Chemo Caps. DC Shoes will also be offering free hot chocolate and donuts for all guests.

Season Passes... Still available, starting at just $199 for an Adult Midweek Pass. All paid lift tickets can be turned in for full credit on a season pass; pass must be purchased same day. Go here, or call (209) 258-7254 for more information.

More Info... for more information and for the latest on snow conditions, as well as resort operations and road conditions, visit kirkwood.com or call toll-free 1-877-KIRKWOOD .

Cross Country and Snowshoe Center

Soup 'n' Shoe and More... The Cross Country Center is open with 50 kilometers of groomed track with skating lanes and snowshoe lanes to the top of the trail system, offering the most terrain of any cross country center in the High Sierra and exquisite views. There is a Soup 'n' Shoe on Sunday; space is limited, so reservations are recommended for this popular event.

Dogs are allowed on the Meadow Loop; pet pass required. Rentals and lessons are available. Call (209) 258-7248 for Cross Country and Snowshoe information.
